Steven Hadlow / aircraftinaction.co.uk reviews the static participants from a Monday morning where summers two day appearance came to a sudden end.   Photos by Steven Hadlow and Roger Hadlow. This theme attracted several of the stars of the show. Possibly the most striking scheme at the show was worn by the Royal Air Force Puma which came from 230 Squadron based at RAF Aldergrove. However the rarest of the tiger aircraft which attended came from Eastern European the shape of the Polish Air Force Sukhoi SU22. The photos below are of some of the aircraft listed as taking part in the Tigers section.

Surveillance 05 was focused on the 'eyes in the sky'. This theme was hoping to attract some types that carry out these duties such as the U2, in its 50th anniversary year and Canberra PR9. Possibly the star of this theme was the RF-4E Phantom from 348 MTA of the Hellenic Air Force. The photos below are of some of the aircraft listed as taking part in the Surveillance section.

Thanks to RIAT for the theme logosThe establishment of the UN in 1945 brought a dawn of new hope for international peace and co-operation. Visitors to RIAT were reminded of just how far international co-operation has come since 1945. The photos below are of some of the aircraft listed as taking part in the UN 60th Anniversary section.

The rest of the static display also contained some real gems for the enthusiasts. Examples of such gems were two USAF A10 Thunderbolts, two German F4 Phantoms and two Italian Navy AV-8B Harrier II.
