So, another largely successful year for RIAT. Following 2006s show was always going to be a difficult and the team managed to hold a show that was still worthy despite such a classic line-up in the previous year. The Thunderbirds, despite all the hype, were a rare and memorable sight. The static display was a little sparse in places, showcasing plenty of quality with perhaps the main problem being the lack of RAF types available leading to yet more reduced numbers. It was just a shame this years unbalanced weather made for such an unequal ratio in terms of attendance as it increased any traffic issues that existed on the first day of the show, but the queues that were reported were cleared after too long. So overall another solid and enjoyable RIAT as we have come to expect and with Farnborough back next year, who knows what might turn up.
